Grow In Service
“Send us out to do the work you have given us to do, to love and serve…” When was it that we saw you hungry and fed you, or thirsty and gave you a drink? A stranger and took you home, or naked and clothed you? When did we see you ill or in prison, and come to visit you?” These are the things God asks us to do everyday – in little and big ways. SERVICE SHOWS US what we can do for our family, our neighbors, and our communities. Service helps us move beyond ourselves. Through service and the love of God, you might just be surprised to see how your family grows…in definition and blessings. Go! Service and outreach are parts of any vital church. There are many opportunities to volunteer within a local congregation – teach Sunday school, become an usher, join the choir. Most churches also have outreach efforts in their community – help with the soup kitchen, build a house with Habitat for Humanity, plan a religious presence at a protest or community event. Go and find out how many ways there are to serve.

Millennium Development Goals
The MDGs represent a global partnership that has grown from the
commitments and targets established at the world summits of the 1990s. Responding to the world's
main development challenges and to the calls of civil society, the MDGs promote poverty reduction,
education, maternal health, gender equality, and aim at combating child mortality,
AIDS and other diseases.
